So, I'm curious.....
It seems like you Tony girls have come out of the woodwork. I honestly didn't even KNOW there were Tony girls. Is it just one or two of you that leave me a lot of comments? Or are there a growing flock of you? If you don't mind, and have a minute, would you chime in so I can see how many there really are? And I'm curious as to whether you've always been team TBJ or if this is a Patience related thing.

I'm a Jon girl but it's come to the point where I look forward to Tony's chapters just as much as Jon, sometimes even more. Tony and Dorothea are perfect together in this story.

ReplyDeleteIt's this story that has made me a Tony girl. You have blended the whole Tony and Dorothea together so well together with Jon and Petey. I now can't separate the two. I see a few Jon/Petey chapters and then I know Tony/Dorothea are coming up and get happy.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Richie girl but love the story between Tony and Dorothea. It has grown so much and now to me, the four best characters are Jon, Petey, Tony and Dorothea. I don't even like the Richie and Denny story, so what does that tell you? Team Jon/Petey and Team Tony/Dorothea all the way for me.

DeleteI think you should explore more with the Richie/Denny thing...it could be a great spinoff story. Maybe not explore them too much in depth, but when you get near the end of the story (don't even get me thinking on that...too sad), maybe they could have Richie officially kiss her for the first time or realize his feelings for her, and then we can have a spinoff story focusing on them...then we would have another story with our 3 favorite couples! :) :) :) -Sue

Whatever continues LP and brings more chapters on ALL three couples, I am behind 100% but I do agree about the spin off story. Who am I to say that? they have their fans. That is what is so fantastic about this story, there is a couple for everyone. You have got THREE great couples for everyone. What more can we ask for? We get a chapter everyday, three couples to love and just continue to see grow and grow. We are very lucky readers!!

So far, I have never skipped any chapters on Learning Patience. Every single one has been fantastic. Since Richie and Denny have been introduced, I find myself skipping their chapters. Like the one today (saw Jon/Petey's part) and judging from the comments, it looks like tomorrow's one too (unless is has other characters in the chapter). I know, I know others like them and I respect that but from a story that has been no flaws at all. With four fantastic characters? why screw around with it?
DeleteGive it time. I bet there were some who didn't like Tony and Dorothea (and some who probably still don't) but love them now? Look how that couple just exploded. My worry is that J & P and ESPECIALLY T & D don't get forgotten now that Richie and Denny have been introduced.
DeleteAs one (of many) of Blush's loyal readers I have to say the comment above is offensive. I wish people could be respectful of the effort and talent that goes into writing a story like this. There are very few writers who could pull off an intricate story like this one and still post every day! Seriously, Blush's dedication to this story is amazing to me. All I want to do is encourage her to write more and more. The best way to do that is to leave positive comments. Personally, I hope she "screws around" with it some more! I'll read anything she writes about anyone - especially my new favorite couple Richie and Denny.

We are all entitled to our opinions. I didn't say anything against Blush. As I said, I LOVE this story and have read it from day one. I have even encourage others to read it and told my friends about it. It's a FANTASTIC story with four fantastic characters. I stand behind that 1000% BUT just because I don't like the Richie and Denny story, does that make me a bad person? I posted my opinion in this thread because others talked about it here.

I know others do and I respect that (as I said in my above post)but I was just expressing my opinion. Sorry to offend, Blush does and continues to do a wonderful job.

I'm just so involved in the other two couples and personally feel I could be reading about Jon and Petey and Tony and Dorothea but now instead, I am reading about Richie and Denny! but I do respect others who like them and from now on, I will not post anything negative and will always continue to read Learning Patience. Yes, I know that not everyone is a fan but so far EVERYONE has been respectful and never said don't write about them. We have to learn that this story is now writing around 3 couples, we have to respect the readers who like those couples. Denny would be great for Richie. Tony is the one who pushed Richie in that direction (and I will never FAULT Tony for anything!!) and even Jon can see it. So if Jon and Tony are fine with it, so am I? (this is real, isn't it?)
DeleteBeing the Tony and Dorothea fan that I am, when they are not in the chapter, I just know that I won't be disappointed when they are in the next chapter. Like 122? no explanation necessary there! so the next chapter that they appear, it won't disappoint. Same with Jon and Petey, we just have to learn to have PATIENCE! and think, oh they are not in today, they will be in tomorrow or the next day (but I stop at 4 chapters in a row!!)
No chapters have EVER disappointed me in this story. Every Single One has been Gold.
I agree with a spin off story but only if it included the characters from this story. Jon with Petey and Tony with Dorothea. If having a spin off has us to read more about those two couples, than I am completely behind it. I could read about those four couples forever! -

ReplyDeleteI don't think it's a case of who was a Tony girl or not prior to this story but a case of he is becoming very popular in this story and we have become Tony girl's. You have done an excellent job in writing his story into this story, don't even question it. Just go with the flow.
ReplyDeleteThe pairing of him with Dorothea has excelled anyone's exceptions. I love them but I also enjoy Tony's relationship with Petey, of course with Jon and most definitely love him with Dorothea. Just keep on doing what you are doing. It's freakin excellent!!

Now reading this for Tony, it has got me hooked on Jon and Petey too. I am not surprised that he gets a lot of comments. His blended so well into this story, it's perfect. Just read what you write? ReplyDeleteWhy do you think that is? It's because of the Tony power. When you look through all the chapters in this story, look who gets the most responses. He draws people in. No matter what anyone thinks but there is something about Tony that has brought out all this attention. He is very likeable and the story that has been written has been one of a kind. Anthony Michael Bongiovi all the way. The stars must have been aligned or the literature God's were smiling down on you but whatever was the reasoning behind putting Tony and Dorothea together, something told you to tell their story. Don't question, just do! Tony and Dorothea's chapters are the best. The last one with them in it? I've lost track how many times I have read it.

I knew there was something special about Tony from the beginning and I always look forward to seeing his name in the chapters. You hit the mother load when you had him develop a relationship with Dorothea. I can't even begin to say how much I love their story.

Started this story because of Jon but once the Tony story kicked in, I found myself drawn towards him more and more. Loving my Tony and Dorothea addiction and always, always love their chapters or just any with Tony in it. I always read their chapters with a smile on my smile. My day brigthens when I saw a Tony chapter.

Tony is the key that holds all the characters together in this story. He is Jon's brother, Petey's boss/friend, Dorothea's boyfriend, Uncle Tony to the kids, he was the one who made Richie see the light and ask Denny to come to Jon/Petey's wedding. Heck, he is even involved in the Daniel story. Daniel has seen Tony and knows the connection between him and both Petey and Jon. Daniel hadn't even seen Jon in person until the SOB tazered him!!

Want to comment and say that firstly I am a Jon's girl but have always been fond of Tony too. I started reading this story purely because of Jon but now read for both Jon and Tony. To have both in this story, it's just icing on the cake. For whatever reason Tony and Dorothea's story has connected with soooooooooo many readers. It just works.

DeleteI don't have a recent picture of Tony and Dorothea but I saw them in Las Vegas when I went to Tiger Jam. Jon, Dorothea, Tony and some others were in a restaurant that I went to with my husband and kids. Took no photos as it was a private event (it seemed like a dinner for Jon and Dorothea's anniversary) As soon as I saw them. Learning Patience entered my head!! I wish I could post a recent picture of them.

Bay, I had this same conversation just this week with Carol! Said that her next story had to be a David story and have it spin off from Learning Patience. Must have Jon/Petey and Tony/Dorothea in it. I didn't mention Richie/Denny but bring them in too! I would read that for sure.

I think Dorothea needs someone like Tony. She is so independent and strong willed and he is just so sweet with her. I can't wait until he proposes and their wedding. I Adore Them!

DeleteYour "Fear not" comment gives me peace. I was also worried that it was becoming overcrowded and someone will get pushed aside for this new story between Richie and Denny. I don't think it's a case of not liking Richie and Denny but more a case of what is going to happen to our favourites Jon with Petey and Tony with Dorothea. Are you going to neglect them because you are building up Richie and Denny? but I trust you and am happy to know that it's not going to happen. I just love this story!

Tony is going ring shopping with Richie. He is planning to propose. Did I mention he has a GUN!! In fact, I say the opposite is going to happen and more will be happening to them.

I never comment because by the time I read the chapters all the best comments have been said and I just sit there nodding and agreeing. I felt the need to comment on this question and just have my little voice heard - sorry if it's too late to answer.
ReplyDeleteTo your question, I don't know if you can say that I was Team TBJ before this story but I certainly was aware of him and liked him from everything that I heard and saw about him. Really is a great guy, private and sweet. I know that he is close to the family - Jon and Dorothea - and I just wish that there was more pictures of Tony.
In regards to this story, am I team TBJ? Absolutely. Everything I read about him in this story, I totally am in love with. Regardless of who he is with in the chapter - Jon, Petey, his parents, Matt, Richie, the kids - I love him with all of them but of course his chapters with Dorothea are the ones where he shines. You should be very very pleased and excited with the response that Learning Patience gets and particularly this storyline where it could have gone so pear shaped - putting an ex-brother-in-law and sister-in-law together and add that it's Jon's brother and ex-wife!! - but this went the complete opposite and I feel it's all to do with you. You have taken the time to write this part of the story with care and dedication and let these two speak for themselves and just made us love Tony and Dorothea more and more. I am quite fond of them two and adore when they interact with Jon and Petey. I never would have imagined being so involved in these 4 characters when I started reading this story but I find myself during the week wondering what is going on and eagerly waiting for Saturday to read the chapters! Jon, Petey, Tony and Dorothea have a very special place in my heart. I love and adore them with all my heart and know that they will always remain there.
So after all that, yes I am a team tbj girl and can't wait to see what is in store for him and Dorothea - and Jon and Petey.
